Jimmy’s is an Aladdin’s cave of haberdashery treasures. I always find what I need, as well as a few things I didn’t know I needed. A genuine Melbourne institution for anyone who loves sewing, crafting, costumes, or making things by hand.
We've been coming for 20+ years and this place never fails to deliver. We can usually find whatever we need from buttons to zips and trimmings. We also get our customers to come here if they need anything specific. Best place for buttons and zips with reasonable prices.
Bit of a maze if you’re not familiar with how these kind of shops run but Jimmy was helpful in showing me exactly what I was looking for! Seems to be very dog friendly too with happy friends walking around and saying hi ☺️
Looses a star due to rudeness to myself and another staff member. BRING CASH to avoid verbal discourse. The place itself is an Aladdin's cave of treasures - craps over Spotlights humble offerings. At a time when sewing shops have largely closed, this place is very valuable.
