I have been attending this practice, with my family, for at least 15 years and have seen the practice grow a lot in that time! What remains a constant is their care and attention to their patients, not only from the medical staff but also the admin staff. Reception staff are always friendly and always do what they can to assist, often under very busy and stressful situations and times! Horrible medical centre. The new nurse there seems to have very little knowledge. I booked my son’s 6-month vaccination a few days in advance through the receptionist, and they should have checked his due date properly at the time of booking. Anyway, we attended the appointment and were then told that we had arrived 3 days too early. This completely wasted our time. Poor communication.
The centre is aesthetically pleasing to look at but there was nothing to keep kids occupied especially when you’re waiting for over an hour to be seen. We almost walked out because we waited so long and my son (1yrs old) was getting restless until we were called in by the doctor. Upon having our check up before my son got his immunisation, he checked his ear with a otoscope but pushed too far in and turned it to look around causing my son to be visibly irritated and unsettled. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE I don’t recommend. I would try to find another doctor elsewhere before settling for Jimboomba Medical. I’ve found one good doctor here which unfortunately means I have to use Jimboomba Medical. I’d avoid it if possible as there seems to be a communication break down between staff and doctors which has wasted my own time more than once now. EDIT: they’ve now lost my first appointment of the year. Practice manager not available until the 19/01 to lodge a complaint with. Poor service
