I brought my 2012 Honda CR‑V to Jim Clark Collision Repair to have the passenger door replaced because it was damaged. After I got the car back, the trunk wouldn’t open anymore, even though it worked perfectly before. The door and trunk are connected through the car’s electrical system, so the issue clearly came from the repair. This place totals repairable vehicles for their own margins. Incase you don’t know. The profit margins on a total loss in a body shop are 100%. Or close to it. As they only require preliminary inspection. But the shops charge storage to the insurance companies and inspection fees. Work on vehicles at body shops has a 5-15% profit. I took my car here after hitting a deer. They determined the vehicle needed 4k worth of work including bending the frame. And paint work that they couldn’t do on my car anyway. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This has been an awful experience that my husband and I had with this company. Little backstory; my husband and I flew down to Florida for Christmas and someone had hit my car and took off so we did not see the damage until we were able to get home after the massive snow storm at the beginning of January.
