I just picked up parts for my 1940 Chevy pickup at Jim Carter truck parts this afternoon. The staff was excellent, great people to work with,. I highly recommend this company for your mid 30s to mid 70s Chevy pick up trucks. Thank you very much to the staff at Jim Carter.
I ordered a gas tank with 2 day delivery. I wait. No word. I have to call them to get a tracking number. We don’t have that in stock. And our website does not coordinate with inventory. I talk to sales manager. Sorry., and you don’t do enough business with us for me to do anything for you. So don’t believe their website. They are reputable. Avoid Jim Carter parts like the plague.
I've bought quite a few parts from Jim Carter during a restoration of a 1950 one ton GMC. In the past they were always good but I think I need to find a different source for parts. It seems now that when I call in I am just put on hold forever! Even when the recording says "you are caller number one" nobody ever answers.
