I appreciated the time Dr. Kirkendall spent with me and that he listened. My others doctors seem like they're in a race to get me out the door.
Absolutely!!!! 10 stars.. Takes time to hear me, very compassionate, excellent bed side manner. He breaks the ice (it works for me), and never, ever forgets to go back and discuss something. He is a WONDERFUL doctor for me. Happy all the time. Very smart. I grateful I got him when I moved here Apr. 2012....before he quit accepting patients.. Favorite doctor ! (And I have a lot of dr.s)
Have been trying to give this Dr. Every chance. But each visit. The Dr. Has no knowledge of last visit. Only have 1 health issue. Which I repeat every time. Yet Dr. Never remembers . pays attention to it. Medicine needed to be changed last year. Was allergic to new prescription. Told Dr. Over a year later. Still hasn't remembered. That her prescription was wrong. And my blood pressure is up. Because the Dr. Still has not gotten around to giving me a prescription. Dr. Also doesn't seem to remember. What a joke. I see why everyone gets referred to Iowa City. There is a serious lack of knowledge about how to treat patients.
Ignored medical history. If you are a woman with dress in your life than he believes a shrink will solve ALL your Well Documented Medical Issues. Failed to provide follow up care for 5 months after post,-hospital at home care ended. I ended up in a wheelchair & with no functional speech for 7-9 months, two paralyzed vocal chords untreated for 5 months. Did not do routine labs to monitor RXs for chronic conditions. She is amazing! Listened to everything I had to say and took my concerns and made them hers! Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pediatric doctor.
Very knowledgeable. Actually took time to listen to my concerns and had a plan to achieve a more healthy lifestyle.
I originally came to her by taking my father to his visits and I liked her so much I switched. I appreciate that she takes the time to answer all my questions and never feel rushed.
Dr Salas almost killled my uncle. He had my uncles meds all screwed up. Diabetes, kidney failure, oozing water from his legs. He never bothered to test kidney function. My family can't stand him. Two of his colleagues helped to cure my uncle. My family believes that the one doctor saved my uncle's life. The one doctor ordered countless blood tests to figure the right amount of meds needed.
