Dr Burke told my young daughter that the abdominal pain she had been experiencing for 6 months was constipation (I was in the room when she said this), even though we both expressed her family history of issues with reproduction parts. My daughter left discouraged but went to a different OB who did an ultrasound (Dr Burke did not think one was needed) and found a cyst. I went to Dr. Burke several years ago for endometriosis. She told me that it was in my head and I was fine to go home. I was so hurt and discouraged by this that I didn’t get a second opinion for over a year. Only to find out I not only had endometriosis, but cysts and fibroids as well. I was not fine and I needed help. I am thankful I stood up for me and my health to seek someone else who was willing to actually help. Hope this helps another person out.
