My young son took my truck to Jiffy Lube here on Quincy Ave. It's a 2018 Ford F-150. Two hundred twenty bucks for an oil change? what a rip off. They charged him 49.99 for a cheap paper air filter i could have bought for twelve bucks. After six quarts it's 49.99 for extra oil which in this case was one more quart. I wanted to go back and stuff the filter in the guys ear and get my mo ey back. Pulled into Jiffy Lube with my car smoking—not even a customer, just someone in need. Joseph, the manager, went above and beyond. He helped troubleshoot, gave me antifreeze, crawled under the car, and even let me leave it there while I waited for a tow. His kindness and professionalism turned a stressful situation into a moment of real human goodness. I wasn’t a customer before, but I am now. Thank you, Joseph!
I went in for oil change, paid $131.59 for what I thought was full service. They did the oil and filter and that was it. My invoice indicates they checked everything else which they did not. I had to ask them to check the tire pressure. The check for lights was indicated lights good when in fact I have a light out. When I went inside to inform the manager he started yelling at me that I was being rude to his employee, and asked if I wanted him to clock out that I was being rude. So he threatened me. After the Morrissey blvd location stripped the drain plug on my car and left me with oil on my engine I decided not to return back to that location. The Quincy location couldn’t have been more helpful and truly went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I will only go to this location moving forward. Thank you so much to Joe and everyone at Washington St! You turned a bad experience with Jiffy Lube into a great one.
