Really poor overall job financing our current house; especially the underwriting process. Originator was rude and condensing. We opted for the lock and drop interest rate feature. Which we found out is only good after you have been conditionally approved (after underwriting reviews all of their requested documentation), which only gave a week or two before closing. This home lending company has very bad customer service. I asked they send me information on how to wire payment on my loan. They never sent it. I called several times. It makes me feel they would rather continue ripping consumer off with interest. I would avoid this company.

I was applying for a home-equity loan with the process taking no more than three weeks as I had acquired all the necessary paperwork, and the loan officer submitted this to the underwriter for approval. The underwriter requested numerous items to be fixed on the house, which is one of the reasons I was requesting the home loan for “home improvement," but continued with repairs fixing the dining ceiling while I was waiting to replace the roof first to avoid any leaks, adding stairs to a door that would be replaced with siding... read more
