My wife and I were checking out a couple months ago and came across a bag of apples that didn't have a price tag on it. I tried to tell the clerk the price was 4.79 but she made the bagger go to produce and check the price. After a few minutes the bagger came back with no results. This Jewel - Osco is BAD AND DANGEROUS!!! This store is located one block from Wilson which is very BAD neighborhood. A lot of criminals, sex offenders, drug dealers and homeless people live there. This Jewel -Osco is located just one block from the Wilson street, so all these criminals, sex offenders and homeless people come to this Jewel-Osco store. I've worked at jewel for twenty years brought alot of friends and family on board try to get my husband back in there who work there before filled out the app pass the drug test but his pass was an issue which was 30years ago and will work hard cause that's what he do and we have folks who don't care and doesn't want to work when given the opportunity very bizarre to me but it's ok god over see everything thanks for your time..
Customer service is a issue,,, some of the food is expired, the prices are always old n not updated for the correct week
The pharmacy at this location leaves at lot to be desired. This is the second time a medication was needed for diabetes and the other time for the flu, I was told to go to another location for the medication due to their manufacturer being backlogged. This is not the customers problem this is a problem between the pharmacy and the manufacturer,but yet they make the customer either wait weeks for their medication or travel to go pick it up.
I am disappointed with the advertisement this week regarding the "Taste of Jewel" which was advertised as food tasting for our community on 4-30-16 and 5-1-16. As this is my main grocery shopping store I was shopping on both of these dates and there was no food tasting to be seen. With Meijers across they street and Berkots with a great meat section and good sales I find myself struggling to continue patronizing this store.
Over the past 6 months, I have had difficulty when shopping at ONLY this particular Jewel Osco store. I have complained to department managers, the store manager and even called the corporate office, but all complaints fell on deaf ears. Between not having items that are on sale, and reconfiguring the layout of the store during normal business hours (which included blocking aisles with carts & pallets so that people had trouble getting through). I shop at this store a couple times a week ,Raul is a top notch store Manager and Chet is super as head of the Osco Dept. Rick in the Meat Dept. is as good a manager that can be as well . I have shopped there for decades and get to know most of the employees . Robin has always cheerfully helped me out when I have a problem . Theres a fellow that runs the Dairy Dept that is one of the hardest working people I have ever met . I made an account just for this. This store needs self checkou machines! I am staying in paltine for a couple days and unfortunately this is the only grocery store near my hotel. The cashiers are always busy and it sucks to wait 20 minutes just to buy a travel size deodorant.
