On my first visit, Dr. Vera had an 'intern' ask the intro questions while Dr. Vera had others to deal with. Upon his return, he asked almost no questions and began to lecture me on my med choices not being the best choice. He became very defensive when I stated I felt pressured by his technique. He treated me as tho I had NO idea of the various choices I had already investigated.My experience was FAR from what I expected from a '2nd Opinion' Cardiologist. Will NOT RETURN to reschedule a follow-up!
Both my husband and I have been treated by Dr. Vera for several years. He put a stint in my husband's "widow maker" artery which I know saved his life. We trust him implicitly and would recommend him highly.
I love and totally trust Dr. Vera. He is a great Cardiologist. Staff is very kind and efficient.

My son Charles Holes had heart attack (35) yrs. old was taken care of immediately by Dr. Vera at St. Jude since then lost 15 lbs., i'm a widow & he's all i have. He's eating right now exercising, therapy etc. Heart attacks & high blood pressure, high cholesterol are hereditary. Finally a wonderful Doctor Vera comes along & is taking excellent care of my Son - i owe a great debt!!! Thank you with all my heart!!! Recommend to everyone i know! live in lrg Gated senior community & active!
