We had a great experience here with the whole team. I see the other comments about Dr Edison seeming cold or distant - however, her job is to evaluate as objectively as possible. She had me play games with my child to view the interactions between my child and I in a setting that the child would be comfortable in. The bad reviews of Dr. Edison are all true. She is cold and like a robot. She never once acknowledged my child or even talked to them. She made me feel like my child is a lab rat in a clinical study that she just checked the boxes. The “support” she provided was print outs of ABA therapy that I could have googled myself. The only positive was the staff and therapists were wonderful. It’s unfortunate they work with her.
We had our appointment today with Dr. Edison. I was worried after reading the reviews on her so I thought I would share my experience. She was very friendly and professional. She was very attentive and kind both to my son who was being evaluated for autism and to myself. She was very thorough and answered all of our questions along with giving us many resources and guidance. I highly recommend Dr. Edison.
The staff at this office were absolutely wonderful, from the front desk to the therapists that worked with my son. Dr. Edison, however, leaves a lot to be desired. She made little attempt to develop rapport with my kid or me, which resulted in him avoiding her at all costs and left us with a very confusing diagnosis. The lack of info and treatment options given to us is astounding and irresponsible IMO. The therapists and staff were all engaging and treated him like a person, not like a problem.
