I would give zero stars if it were an option. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Spelman to establish care as a new patient, and it turned into one of the most upsetting medical experiences I’ve ever had. Less than ten minutes into the visit, while I was explaining ongoing health concerns, she abruptly interrupted me and asked, “Do you want to die?” followed immediately by, “Do you want an eating disorder?” I was completely shocked. Dr. Spelman has always gone above my expectations addressing all of my health issues. She takes the time to explain what drugs she's ordering and what that medication will do. I always leave knowing that I've gotten the best care that I could receive. I'm very thankful. I don't understand how someone could leave a 1 star review for her . Antivaxers seem to think they know better than a Dr I guess.
We went to her years ago. She was super sweet until I told her I had questions about the DTaP vaccine. (They were out of it the previous visit & had upped it from 2 to 3 shots. She even made a comment that she didn't know why they added another dose to the schedule.) Her whole demeanor and tone changed.
