I had a disappointing experience with this provider. The doctor entered the appointment unprepared and had not reviewed my MRI or medical records beforehand. He ended up using my phone to read the MRI summary because he didn’t have access to the report on his end. There was no physical exam or hands-on evaluation of any kind. When I shared information from another doctor who had evaluated me more thoroughly, he was quick to dismiss that perspective without explanation. Dr Charnoff is the best I could not sleep or function during the day and he improved my quality of life and eliminated the pain
At first I thought I liked Charnoff. I met him at a well respected medical center, his exam was thorough and he ordered appropriate tests. After that things took a turn for the worse. He said he’d call me “later” with the test results. My appointment was at 9:15 AM. Later turned out to be the next day. Not TOO bad, but not later. By that time I had read the radiologist’s report and had questions. Dr. Charnoff took his time to carefully examine my hip, leg and lower back to help determine my source of pain. Thinking it might be a torn hamstring he prescribed an ultrasound, guided aspiration of lidocaine and cortisone, which I just had this morning and seems to be helping. I highly recommend Dr. Charnoff, although it’s hard to get an appointment, as he is popular! He does accept Medicare.
I was very pleased with Dr. Charnoff. He took his time with me, was friendly, thorough, professional, answered my questions and wasn't condescending, (as many doctors can be). He did an excellent job with the procedure that he administered. The HSS office in Uniondale was spotless, the cleanest and most sleek office (medical or non-medical) that I've ever seen. I had zero wait time. Everything here exceeded expectations....
