I’m not a huge fan of sandwiches. Especially the cold sandwiches. However, when I’m craving a hot sandwich the # 17 Mike's famous Philly is my absolute choice. I come here only for this delicious sandwich and nothing else. It was very satisfying with a generous portion of beef steak, the grilled onions, peppers, and cheese all together. I wish they sold a mini size of the #17 like they do for the cold sandwiches on the menu.
4 workers and I was completely ignored for 5 minutes while standing at the counter, and I was the only customer in the store! No customer service here
This place consistently punches above its weight. Staff are more friendly than they're being paid to be, and my order has always been correct. It does get busy around lunch, but that's likely because this is one of the few decent sandwich places in SLO.
