I’m still trying to process what happened. Walked in just to ask about job openings. Manager Lu looked me dead in the eye, slapped a grilled cheese out of my hand, and said, “We don’t hire mortals on Thursdays.” I laughed, thinking it was a joke — until she THREW a full container of coleslaw at me like it was a dodgeball tournament.
