Arrived, got in line, watched as the Sandwich tech continuing to clean the counter wearing gloves . . . he started pulling the meats out of the cooler, still no glove change, then started cutting and loading the meats on to the bead . . . I just walked out . . . 2 weeks before I had gotten sick after eating one of their sandwiches. When I saw the tech not change gloves, that explained a lot . . . Never again will I go there.
Update: Management never responded to my email which they requested for me to reach out . I placed the order at 12:17 PM and received an email confirming that it would be ready at 12:32 PM. No big deal. It’s now 12:37 PM, and I’m 5 minutes past the “curbside” drop-off time. I called the store, and the employee, Esmeralda, answered. She said, “You placed the order too early and arrived too early. I’ll be out in a bit; it’s rush hour.” Before I could say anything else, she hung up the phone. El Mexicano has become one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always delicious, the portions are great, and the service is top notch. I’ve tried at least 6 or 7 different menu items and have never been disappointed. Today I had the pupusas, and that sealed the deal for me. They were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely hit the spot. I looked up what time they open because I needed a sandwich for a field trip. I waited by the door the two girls saw me waiting and Intentionally put the huge large rack of bread in front of them so I couldn’t see them no longer five minutes past. I knocked on the window and I said it’s 9:35 and one of the girls said we don’t open till 10 so why would Google says 9:30 and the glass door at the location says 9:30 and wouldn’t have the decency to come to the door and let me know that they don’t open till 10 AM.
