We had a terrible assessor at the CAC. She was an intern and did not know what she was doing. They have so many people waiting for assessments that unfortunately the quality and validity of the results have gone down substantially in the past few years. I have no idea if he's a decent psychologist, but the practice he runs is criminally negligent. For the record, we didn't see Dr. Sharp. I'm leaving this review because he is the director of a practice that is fundamentally broken and he needs to do his job to fix it (or step down, or take responsibility for what has occurred). Criminal billing practices make this an unacceptable place to consider for services. Their psychologists may very well be knowledgeable, but you'll pay for it. Dr. Sharp did a thorough assessment of our child. Our child is now receiving necessary therapy specific to the diagnosis and our child’s individual needs. The report Dr. Sharp provided us upon completion of assessment was full of information about the various data they collected from parent/teacher/individual surveys, observation of our child both in office and at school, as well as other info they collected during testing.

I learned that they were having problems with their phone lines and receiving voicemails. I was contacted by them and they apologized for the communication issues. I contacted them back to make an appointment and they were able to get me an appointment next week. Most places have month long waiting lists, but luckily they're able to get me in early!
