We came in as a walk-in, the price (just under $30 after taxes, depending on length) was what drew us in. Thalia Nhu cut my mom’s hair with great skill and speed(!). Absolutely nothing but great things to say, she consulted and advised on best length for the cut. Mom wants to come back to the shop the next time we’re in Vancouver.
Don’t usually write reviews, but I have to share. Had my haircut ruined by an apprentice that couldn’t speak english, which isn’t a problem, but she just nodded and said yes in acknowledgment but she didn’t actually understand what I was communicating. I explained what I wanted to the main stylist, who speaks english but poorly, and she explained to the apprentice cutting my hair what I wanted, but I don’t think she explained well enough and also didn’t pay attention while my hair was being cut. The experience was terrible from start to finish. The person performing the massage clearly had no proper training—it felt more like random touching than an actual massage. There was absolutely no sense of sanitation, privacy, or professionalism. The setting was a beauty salon, not a proper massage studio. I had my hair cut by Jenny last month, and she did an amazing job! She not only gave me exactly the style I wanted but went above and beyond to make it look even better. Jenny took her time to ensure everything was perfect, and I really appreciated her attention to detail. On top of that, she’s such a kind and lovely person, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I’m so happy with my haircut and would highly recommend Jenny to anyone looking for a skilled and caring stylist!
