Easy access and boarding process. Well worth the wait in line and enjoued the views while we waiyed. Boat and dock crew were very friendly.

Scenic boat tour of jenny lake was awesome. Tommy was our guide. We took the 10am tour but got here about 830 and we were able to get a parking spot in the lot, shopped the jenny lake store and just took in thr scenery. After the boat tour, we ate our picnic lunch then took the shuttle boat for the hike to inspiration point, hidden falls, and the canyon. Highly recommend

The ferry operates from Jenny lake trailhead/East boat dock across Jenny lake to the West boat dock and back. We had hiked to moose pond to try and see moose and then hiked further to the Hidden falls across the lake. We caught the ferry back. Only half the boat was covered, so the rest of us had to just sit in the rain. As people were disembarking, there was an employing checking stamps on the wrists of the passengers and directing those who did not have them to the payment counter to pay their fares. The Jenny Lake Scenic Cruise is pretty spectacular. Our inspired guide was enthusiastic and informative, and the views from the page are breathtaking. First recommendation: Book in advance or you might not get on the boat (although you can always wait in line for the more frequent shuttle boat that carries hikers across the lake.) The only downside is the insufficient parking at the Jenny Lake Visitors Center. It often fills up, so people have to park on the highway and hike in. Boat ride across the lake was nice, but the wait times were not only ridiculous, we weren't warned that the ride back after hiking several hours would be more than an hour wait, standing in the unrelenting heat. My group opted instead to walk the 2 miles back to the lot, thinking it might take less time. It was all too much. They should have an easy way to get refunded for the return trip that they make very difficult to actually take back with their few small boats and large amount of customers.
