If you are visiting Jenny lake I highly recommend taking the scenic boat tour it’s about an hour long. Tickets are $30 per adult , can be booked in advance on their website. This is different from the shuttle boat . Shout out to Our guide Thomas aka Tommy was very knowledgeable about the area , shared some interesting facts, and entertaining, we got some laughs while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Tetons . We greatly appreciated the option to shuttle across the lake. I have asthma and could not get my inhaler refilled before my trip and it saved us so much exhaustion. I do wish the wait was shorter as it was about an hour to an hour and 15 min each way, but still better than a multi-mile hike in each direction. We also wanted to give a shoutout to the boat driver; Natalie, who was our captain on the initial voyage. “TOMMY” was our Captain Tour Guide on our 10:00 AM scenic boat tour on Jenny Lake! A++! He was FULL of incredible information that one would NEVER know by looking at those majestic Mts. He pointed out little things and recommended a good book that my boys are listening to as I write this. We had a great time with our group taking the boat shuttle over to the two hikes (Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point). There are no facilities once your across the River but the shop in the shuttle side was nice and there were plenty of bathrooms. There was even a bear sighting when we were waiting for the boat. The rangers jumped into action and kept everyone safe and calm.

Jenny Lake boating offers an excellent shuttle service. We visited over the weekend and it was very busy , however, there were boats every ~10 minutes. The staff was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some really good tips and advice about the hikes on the other side of the lake. The views during the short shuttle ride were breathtaking! A big shout out to the staff for going the extra mile - after we returned from the hike , the line for the boat shuttle was long. A lot of people waiting were low on drinking wate... read more
