Dr. Chen has always listened to me carefully, understands me and is great about working WITH me regarding my care. We decide together if something is good or not good for me. I have been seeing her for around 15 years and I hope she never retires!
Dr. Chen started out great, but to due her assistant not following up on voicemails and portal emails. My medication and questions wasn't answered in a timely manner. Most importantly they took a message that was sent to them out of continent. Total misunderstanding. Please don't prescribe medication if you can't stay on top refilling it. Most importantly for me I since I've left her I went with an amazing Novant PCP male doctor and haven't left him since. He listens, communicate very well and his staff is amazing. She is caring and really puts a lot of effort into the care of her patients considering the difficult healthcare reimbursement climate.
I admire Dr. Chen so well that at 60 I once told her she would probably sign my death certificate. I mean this in the kindest way. In my eyes no doctor can replace Dr. J. Chen. She is unique and straight up. In reference to question above I have already recommended her to four family members a co-worker and a cousin
