Excellent emergency care for my 113 lb mountain cur that swallowed a disposable facial towel. I was expecting expensive exploratory surgery, but thankfully it didn’t go that way! We were seen very promptly by the wonderful vet tech Emily, and x-rays were suggested with the cost of 3 views detailed for me up front. Dr. Nott then clearly explained the x-rays to me and said since the wad of cloth was still in his stomach, she could induce vomiting and we could avoid other more invasive options. This place has some explaining to do! I was there 19 hours ago with my dog that was completely out of it and as soon as we got took back into the room the very first thing that was said to us was here’s the bill..! She handed me a $1277 dollar bill (that I didn’t have im a 21 year old working full time) and she proceeded to give me two options either I come up with that full amount within 20 minutes and being rushed every 5 minutes to call someone to help pay the 1200 bill or put my dog down. My husband and I went to Western Regional Animal hospital with our dog and the young woman at the front desk was very rude and seemed annoyed that we were there. After taking our information in an abrupt manner which took some time (and it was late at night) she finally informed me that there was a 3.5 - 4 hour wait for anyone to see me. WHAT?????? That would have been good information to give me BEFORE I came, I had called but she even argued with us that I had called. Perhaps this young woman should look for another job th... read more

This experience was horrible. Our pom had recent knee surgery and she had a reaction to the anti-inflammatory medication. She started having bloody vomit and stool. We rushed her there and after a 4 hour wait she was admitted to their icu. THE VETS ON THE NIGHT DUTY WERE EXCELLENT AND CONTACTED US AS NEEDED TO ADVISE US. We had explained the need for no weight bearing on her right rear knee due to the recent surgery.
