Waiting time to see this doctor was 1 hour! We left after waiting an hour with no end in sight. The secretary at the desk literally said “Dr Toh doesn’t have an estimate for you on how much longer you will need to wait”. My son had other appointments booked in the day and we would have missed the next one had we waited on Dr. Toh. We also made this appointment more than 6 months in advance. She’s an allergist, not a surgeon. How can her office run over 60 min behind? So disrespectful of our time.
Really disappointed and angry after my appt with Dr. Toh. I actually walked out in the middle of the appt and said I'd rather find another doctor. I've never walked out of a doctor's appt before. It started badly, with her barging into the exam room without even saying hello or introducing herself, just launched right into asking questions. Dr.Toh is a very thoughtful doctor. She asks a ton of questions and helps you get to the bottom of your concerns. I had an allergic reaction and she fit me in same day. She is busy but very thorough. I can see how other (reviews) may think she is rushing, but I get the impression she is just an intense and smart person who is extremely busy - I actually liked how fast paced the office is and didn't feel rushed at all. The staff is kind, friendly and professional.
Dr. Toh is an extraordinary physician with a fantasticteam. I do not usually write reviews but my experience with Dr. Toh and her practice have been so utterly remarkable - especially given our fragmented and insurance-driven healthcare system - that I want to be sure Dr. Toh and her team receive the recognition they deserve. Dr. Toh is thorough and inquisitive - she is a detective determined to find the clues to solve puzzles that can be complexand frustrating. My roommate was told by this office that they could do remote appointments after the first appointment. Traveling to NYC is not easy for us so we explicitly asked if there could be virtual appointments after the first one. We were told by the staff that after the first appointment everything can be remote. She went through a multi month process of CHANGING HER INSURANCE PROVIDER just to get in here and someone just did an oopsie?
