I would strongly caution others before seeing this provider. I came in with a positive ANA and elevated inflammatory markers (CRP and sed rate), clearly indicating something systemic was going on. Instead of investigating further, I was told my symptoms were “too non-specific” and that nothing was wrong. Very concerned prompt service and most importantly Dr Valasco listens to her patients.
Much like the other review, I experienced Dr. Velasco’s dismissive approach and overall lack of empathy. Despite a positive ANA and patterns specific to Lupus, Dr. Velasco immediately told me “Lupus is rare. It’s not Lupus.” She then proceeded to diagnose me with “Fibromyalgia” which is just a more accepted way to tell a patient it’s all in their head.
