Dr. Schaefer was great in explaining my mom's cyst when she was in the hospital. There was no mention of my mom having cancer or needing to see an oncologist. Then in a follow up two months later Dr. Schaefer said my mom needed to see an oncologist. This run around just delays any kind of answer and is the farthest thing from care. My 90 year old mother is in pain and now we will wait weeks to see an oncologist and possibly need more tests before ever getting to a solution stage. I had my first visit with Dr. Schaefer yesterday and had a great experience. She was thorough and supportive in her answers and listened really well as I asked questions and responded to hers. I didn't feel rushed and I also didn't have a long wait time. The office is a very calming, updated environment which is sometimes rare in OB/GYN practices. I would definitely recommend this group and Dr. Schaefer to anybody.
Dr Schaffer misdiagnosed me for over 5+ years. I had Ovarian Cancer! The cyst she didn't want to remove, even after my overy twisted, was a TUMOR. I showed all the signs of ovarian cancer and she treated me with birth control pills. Ladies please be aware of your own body. I was only 34 yrs old.
