I will say I was very nervous going into my surgery because of all the bad reviews so I am leaving this here for the people who have high anxiety like myself having a tonsillectomy from Dr. Judkins. The morning of and days leading up to the surgery I was so sick to my stomach with nerves and anxiety from people saying it’s the worst pain, worst surgeon etc. well that is not the case. I cannot say enough about the exceptional care that I received from Dr. Judkins and the staff at her office and at Rutland Regional Hospital. Every single medical professional who I interacted with was knowledgeable and helpful, and that includes Becky at her office, Alyssa at the hospital, and the anesthesiologist and of course, Dr. Judkins. The only reason there even is a star here is because you have to write a review. I was asked why I wanted my son’s tongue tie corrected. I replied with suggesting it may be preventive as there could be issues later on in life. I was met with the most arrogant incompetent answers I’ve ever heard. “We don’t do things in medicine for prevention” and “I was tongue tied and fixed it at 13”. I was in actual shock. As soon as the doctor walked into the room you could feel the uncomfortable tension. She seemed angry before she even spoke to us. Then the whole appointment her attitude was bitchy at best. She could not have cared less that we were there.
This is arguably the most capable ENT Dr around. She is a true expert in her field, well informed, experienced and personable. I've followed her to Rutland Regional and recommended her to multiple people who have also had good experiences with her care.
