Dr. Burns was condescending and dismissive. She had by far, the worst “bedside manner” of any doctor I’ve ever seen. I would not go to her for care.
Dr. Burns and her staff were kind and caring. They were very accepting of my sister and I asking questions and answering them completely. They were patient and understanding. I would recommend her as a urologist and terrific doctor.
I was sent with a referral to Dr. Burns from my gynecologist, when I got there she entered the room and basically said I was there wasting her time and mine. I told her what my gynecologist wanted me to get done and she said she didn’t see it necessary to do a bladder scan, she did it because I insisted and when she did the procedure she was very rough and hurt me while inserting the catheter not once but twice because she simply did not want to do it, her assistant was very kind and she felt bad because she apologized to me... read more
Dr Burns did a surgery after another doctor botched one. She was professional, sympathetic and was able to complete a complex surgery. Don’t know about the negative reviews as I think of her highly as a surgeon.
My experience with Dr Burns was the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a surgeon in my life. Her lack of empathy was deeply shocking, hurtful, and frankly, traumatic. If it were possible to give her a zero, based on her bedside manner, I would do so. Stay clear!!
