Excellent doctor all around! She took care of my second pregnancy and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. She's professional, kind and truely cares about her patients. Highly recommend her and the Mount Carmel labor unit!

I came into the office to schedule my first obgyn appointment at 10-11 weeks pregnant, my previous obgyn had retired and I was told I needed a referral to get with Dr.Powell. I mentioned abdominal cramping to almost every person I spoke with, abnormal feelings and anxiety of miscarriage. I was ignored and they scheduled me for the 30th of March when I was set to be about 14 weeks- mind you I still hadn’t had my FIRST routine checkup and I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage at the ER a week prior. Daughter’s first pregnancy & OB appt. Had it scheduled for 3 weeks. Was seen in the ER the week before 1st OB appt due to spotting. Called and left message with nurse on the way to ER. No call back or follow up call after ER visit. Went to first OB appt expecting reassurance of vital pregnancy, discuss ER visit & results, official 1st ultrasound to get due date etc. The normal 1st OB appt protocol & results from ER scare.
