I give Northwestern Medical five stars for patient care. If I could give them less than one star for communication I would. First, their telephone wait cue is always 15 to 45 minutes long. I work in healthcare and have seen & experienced excellent care, this was not it. I came in with radiating chest pain & had to wait forever to be seen. The overnight security staff was rude & unprofessional. The ER doctors brushed off my concerns & didn’t take them seriously. They just throw a bunch of meds at you & send you on your way. 6/9/26: NW Hospital offers the best, comprehensive care for heart health. I have 3 congential heart conditions, and under the guidance of an entire team of cardiac specialists. I can't ask for better oversight, treatment and management. All of my cardiologists truly take the time to hear me out, listen to my concerns, order tests and lab work, explain what procedures I need done, and why.
