I just had a knee replacement at HSS. I was worried about the anesthesia because I have a bad history with opioids which give me migraines. I also explained to him that morphine has an opposite effect on me, it makes me manic instead of calm. I told the doctor that once I had an anesthesia with ketamine as one of the ingredients and it worked well. Dr. Nejim actually listened. After the surgery I felt really good.
