We first hired Jeff after moving into a new house that needed a fence to keep the dogs from running off. I called a couple fence companies and they were a month out to even come give us a bid, but Jeff's site also said he installed fences (which is how I found him), and he came over promptly and gave us a bid, and said he could start a few days later. Jeffs landscaping is by far the most honest Contractor we have dealt with. We don't consider posts done by vicious people who don't get what they want and why are you complaining if they turned you down ? The contractor must have sensed something to shy away. It's unfortunate that most consumers these days are dishonest. The horror stories we've heard from contractors on how the customer tries to threaten them with the registrar of contractors in an attempt to not pay their bill. Oh well. We hired this company to fix issues left behind by another landscape company. Jeff pointed out many issues I wasn't aware of when he initially came to look over the project. We hired him, paid him half down and the job was started and completed on Friday afternoon. We then went out of town for the weekend and were too busy on Monday to walk through the property to make sure everything met our expectations. VERY unprofessional handling of the job proposal. Jeff low-ball bid to get the job. We walked the site 2x, and had 4 revised bids...EVERY detail of cost & scope were covered. THE BAIT. Then at job kickoff, Jeff emailed, not called, and typed "we feel there is an issue with funds, so we're passing on the job." THE SWITCH. Absolutely NO fund issues were present.
