I'm extremely appalled by Jeffrey S Stephenson, MD! I honestly cannot believe that Norton has a doctor like him working for them. I had been assigned to him after going to immediate care for a shoulder injury back in April. I had read reviews about him before meeting him and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. Had a torn meniscus, acted aloof and apathetic about my injury. Did the shots and OT for a year with little information about the plan to get me out of pain. My last appointment he walked in without me saying anything and said you can’t have surgery your too fat! I was not asking for surgery I was asking for help. Then went on a 15 minutes rant about how fat I was and no surgeon would do my surgery. I was crying never once offered a tissue. Went for second opinion! Do not take an injection form this doctor. He pushes injections. He tells you he doesn't need insurance pre-approval anymore. He forgets to mention the shot is $5,500 and you'll be out of pocket almost $1,700
Very good experience. He makes steroid shots to my knee stress free. Very patient and empathetic.
Chronic Tennis Elbow - I really like Dr. Stephenson. I had tennis elbow and initially we tried steroid shots but after the third shot, my arm still was having pain. And of course, it was time for me to stop playing tennis until Dr. Stephenson and I discussed the option of the Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. I ended up doing this treatment and my arm feels great. He has a nice mannerism and office is pretty efficient.
5 Stars from beginning to end. He has patience, compassion and empathy. He made a normally stressful situation for me (steroid shot) a breeze and was wonderful at alleviating my anxiety (as was his staff). I would, without question, highly recommend.
Failed to perform appropriate imaging delaying treatment for a ruptured hamstring tendon. Noted diagnosis in medical record he specifically stated was NOT my issue during appointment.
Dr Stephenson is a tremendous asset for Norton and this community. He is patient and thorough in his assessments and care plans.
After a really disappointing visit with another doctor I was relieved by my appointment with Dr. Stephenson. Very thorough and explained everything really well. He will be my recommendation for all future needs.
