I asked my primary doctor for a referral to this practice as they are local to me. My old dermatologist was in Syracuse. After not hearing from Reflections for several weeks, I stopped in to inquire. They advised they never received a referral from my primary care doctor. I left and called my primary care office who said they had in fact sent the referral, and even had a confirmation, so they said they would resend it. My appointment with Dr LaDuca was very thorough and I appreciated that he was on time. I didn't feel rushed and he addressed all my concerns. I have seen several of the PA's on other visits and they are all very nice. I would recommend this practice to anyone
I have seen Dr LaDuca the 3 times I have called for an appointment. I also saw him as a call in, on a Friday afternoon, prior to his vacation. Impressive. My problem was sensitive & he handled it with the utmost professionalism & was empathetic with my situation.
I have been going to Dr. Laduca for several years and I have never had any issues with him or his staff. They are always polite and friendly when they call with the reminder appointment and when I see them in person. i see Dr Laduca once a year for my whole body mole exam and have had a few removed with follow up calls in a timely manner. i have seen Maggie, one of the PA’s for a skin rash, because Dr. Laduca’s schedule was full and she diagnosed properly. I was recently told by Dr. Laduca that I had squamous cell cancer and he took a biopsy. After 4 weeks of calling office and no biopsy results, I finally got them to track down results. Fortunately, not cancer, but waiting was exceedingly stressful with absolutely no urgency on part of the Dr. or staff!
While normally my son has been seen within ten minutes of his arrival for his appt, today we still arrived ten minutes early as we always have and sat there ignored for a half an hour while clients that showed up well after us were taken right in. I arrive early so I don’t waste anyone’s time waiting for me, I certainly do not appreciate my time being wasted to the point I needed to to go up and reschedule due to it creating a time conflict and then the receptionist got snippy about it...
His Reflections Dermatology practice is basically run by physician assistants and nurse practitioners and, according to his office staff, he only shows up a couple of times a month. This is just a business, not a medical practice. PA and NP are NOT dermatologists and therefore, this should not qualify as a dermatology practice. While this is unfortunately legal, it is unethical to say the least.
Dr. Laduca is, knowledgeable, thorough, and kind. I highly recommend him.
