Our 15 year old yorkiepoo, Pepper, had a severe dental infection- she was unable to eat or drink. Other animal hospitals said they could see her- in a week! South Salem, however, when we called at noon, said they could see her at 3:30! We drove Pepper up, they saw her, and immediately treated her, extracting 3 teeth that prevented her from closing her jaw. She is now home recovering, drinking normally from her bowl! Everyone was kind and compassionate. Thank you South Salem Animal Hospital!!

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET TO THIS PLACE. A woman named Katie who works in CUSTOMER SERVICE is absolutely brutal and inhumane when it comes to animals. I have never encountered such cruelty in a vet office. She is directly responsible for the suffering and death of my cat. We had an appointment for our seriously ill cat and were early and on our way and she called and asked us to come sooner. We thought "okay, we will get there nice and early anyway, we will take it." Brought my elderly pup to help her with a mass we found and instead, they gave her a slew of vaccinations prior to bloodwork which later indicated she had cancer. Spent a ton of money only for her to pass a few months later. I took her elsewhere for palliative care. This place should’ve waited for results first prior to charging for vaccines.

It is always difficult to leave one’s pet in someone else’s care. I have every confidence that “Rosie” will be well cared for in my absence. That is a huge lift for which I am very grateful.
