I attempted to schedule an appointment, but the experience with the receptionist, Vicky, was very disappointing. She was rude and unhelpful. Despite having a referral letter from my cardiologist, she insisted that I fax the doctor’s report in advance in order to schedule the appointment. I got an authorization from my insurance to see Dr. Jeffrey Chen. My primary had referred me because I am pregnant, have asthma, and am having difficulty breathing. I called Dr. Chen’s office and a lady with a horrible, difficult to understand accent refused to schedule an appointment. She insisted on a “note” from my primary about why I need to see a pulmonologist. I told her I have an authorization - why would I need a note?
