It has been a couple of years since I saw him and had a need to be seen again recently but when I called to make an appointment I was told he was no longer seeing patients. In fact no doctors at the Baptist Eastpoint Gastro location are actually seeing patients. You can only see a Nurse Practitioner there. A doctor's office where you can't see a doctor is quite a concept! Guess I'll find a place where I can see an actual doctor.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Tuvlin’s for many years and I have nothing but positive reviews for him and his staff. Dr. Tuvlin’s beside manners are reassuring, kind and personable and his skill with EGD’s and colonoscopies is exemplary. Baptist East Point Surgery Center has provided me nothing but excellency during my EGD and colonoscopy procedures.
Topic: Compliments or Concerns. I had an appointment October 15 for a procedure with Dr. Tuvlin. I called to cancel it after I had a fall because there were some more significant issues that had to be dealt with such as back surgery coming up in a couple weeks and breaking my finger and having a severe Rib bruising due to a fall. The person I talk to said she would contact scheduling and have them call me to reschedule the procedure. That was at least a couple days ago and I’ve still heard nothing. Dr Tulvin is great. But getting a response from the office when issues appear is like pulling teeth. It takes My Chart posts, calls to office and messages left to get a response. Just very frustrating and upsetting. If a patient has an issue it should be addressed ASAP not multiple days later. Communication is very important and making a patient feel like their concerns are valid is part of what makes a practice good. Just very disappointed. I am still waiting for a call back.
