I have been seeing Dr Heller for over 5 years and never had an issue. Based on prior review if you miss an appointment you get charged. All doctors office do this to not waste a doctors time to see another patient. First office visit is always higher for any new patient for any doctor. He takes insurance and never had a problem with my insurance being filed and paying. Dr Heller is a good therapist and has helped me a lot in my mental health journey. I arrived at Dr. Hellers' office on a Thursday as a new patient. I introduced myself and he told me that I missed my appointment which was Wednesday of that same week. I rescheduled that same day for the following week. After our 45 minute assessment session he charged me $165 for my missed appointment(?) and my 45 minute assessment appointment. I have insurance, he did not acknowledge that. I knew then, his psychology is for financial gain rather than understanding.
