I am a first time mom who was new to the area and had originally made an appointment with UVA Northridge when I first found out I was pregnant last February. After a few moms recommended calling Jefferson OB, I'm so glad I did and switched! I had both my daughters at Martha Jefferson and have loved my experience there. I had Dr. Taylor the first time which was a failed induction and ended up being a c-section. Dr. Taylor made the entire experience so smooth and calm. Although I believe it was more stressful than I thought, Dr. Taylor stayed extremely calm and never let me think anything was wrong. I just called to make an appointment after a referral from my PCP to have my IUD replaced. I was told that they may or may not remove and replace at the same appointment, that it “just depends on the provider and the day, there’s no way to tell.” That struck me as a strange red flag. I’ll be looking for another practice.
Desiree Neumann is fantastic, highly recommend this practice! Also, the nursing team is prompt with responding to patient questions!
I never had issues with this practice until recently. I had gotten an iud placed because of misinformation from here and my dermatologist that it would help my acne. Within the last 3 months I began to have painful complications with it. The day of my appointment they called to cancel 45 minutes before my scheduled appointment, while I live 30 mins away and doctors always want you to get there 15 mins early.
