In 2023, my son had glass in his butt and was taken in for care. No imaging was done, just a bandaid placed carelessly, with the sticky part on the wound, plus liquid bandage. When removed, it reopened the wound and ended up left a keloid scar. Four months later, I found a one-inch piece of glass poking out of the scar, I had to remove it myself. My poor baby. He still has issue with it. Completely unacceptable.
They wanted to put me on a dirty sheet with hair and ick on it, the first nurse I asked said they wouldn’t give me a new one and they’re all like that. I didn’t see her again. Then I had all nice nurses, but they told me as soon as I was admitted around 5:20 they were gonna do a chest x ray. I asked about it 3 more times and no one had anything to say but “I’ll check on that”. 7:30 rolls around, and no one has been in to see me in over a half hour. I push the nurse call button. We had a fantastic experience with the ER staff. Thank you all for helping our newborn get healthy again and the advice to keep him healthy.
