I have went to jefferson county fair all of my life and this year I was there every night as usual. Upon entry tonight, August 23rd 2025 I had my service dog who is legally certified with me. The man at gate 1 stopped me from entering after taking my ticket and told me he could not allow me entry because they had a fake service dog start a fight earlier in the week. That fake service dog tried to run at my trained service dog on monday night. I made no complaints and walked away to keep myself and my dog safe. I never should... read more

This fair is so good I went three different days. Just got back from the senior luncheon. Good food for a good cause. Took my two sons on Monday. Our time at the Fair.

Throughout the few times I've visited these fairgrounds, it was obvious how the land is well maintained to accommodate large outdoor events of all kinds. Entry is simple enough, though it could benefit from better signage for nighttime visitors, and parking on the grassy field is straightforward and immediate upon entering. Plenty of lights are set up for when it's dark, and the walking pathways are mostly leveled.
