I had the extreme pleasure and LUCK of getting into Norton weight loss center and having him as my doctor and that was almost 10 years ago and I haven't gained my weight back and I followed his instructions and lost almost 100 pounds and have kept it off and my surgery was almost 10 years ago I just wanted to say Thank you DrAllen

I have had trouble with my stomach for a couple of months and ended up in the ER. They consulted a GI specialist and the a gastric bypass specialist, which ended up being Dr Allen. From the start he acted like I was bothering him and then after I was still in pain, I kinda got the feeling he thought I was a fishing for some narcotics! I was IN PAIN!!!! Dr Allen's communication skills and demeanor are awful. After experiencing severe abdominal pain I visited Norton Hosiptal to find the cause of the problem. 3 ER visits and 2 admissions, a scope a barium swallow did not definitively reveal the source of the pain. Dr. Allen performed surgery and did not talk with me after surgery. He told my bf that they found scar tissue from previous surgeries but did not say whether it was removed or what my next steps should be. Took my sister to see DrAllen, he did not listen to her or read information from her other doctor, My sister was made to feel as if she was a waste of his time, luckily another surgeon we consulted removed the lap band and resolved her condition. In 34 as a nurse had I never seen a doctor treat a patient that way. So sad.

I was so LUCKY to have chosen Dr. Allen to do my gastric bypass surgery in July 2013 i met him at Norton weight loss center in Louisville ky and it was the best decision I ever made he was so kind,caring and COMPASSIONATE to my situation he didn't rush my appointment time with him. He told me that he would work his magic with my surgery but i also had to work at loosing the weight and i have and i weigh 100 pounds and haven't gained any of my weight back he is a WISE Physician and he also flies his plane rescuing poor little... read more

I would not recommend him to anyone. Takes no time to explain anything at all. Not a hands on doctor at all. Time spent in room with you is less than 3 minutes

Dr Jeffery Allen is a wonderful Dr I would highly recommend him to do any weight loss surgery that anyone needs him and his staff is wonderful to so if any of my friends or family should need weight loss surgery I would highly recommend him he done a wonderful job on my surgery.....

Great Surgeon and great person too! I like to give credit where it is due and my surgery could not have gone any smoother. I was anxious but the Doctor and the staff put me at ease and got the job done in a very efficient and professional manner. I am very pleased and relieved now!
