I’ve been Dr. Novas’ patient for 32 years. She delivered two of my kids and tied my tubes. I’ve been seeing her for regular check ups all these years. She is a very good doctor. She will not spend much time with you and will not chat about your personal life but will take care of your medical needs. I’ve met the other doctors in the group and I have zero complaints. Literally the WORST doctor I have ever met in my entire life. This woman should not have a license. She spends no time with her patients and doesn’t listen to any concerns. I saw her for maybe 5 minutes if that. And she didn’t let me tell her what was wrong with me. For your well being please find a different doctor.
Dr. Novas endangered my life by shaming me when I called her in distress. I had typical symptoms of HELLP Syndrome, yet she simply told me I had eaten a bad hot dog or overdone it. I had fever, extreme upper right quadrant pain and vomiting. I was fortunate enough to listen to a nurse instead of her.
The minute Dr. Novas walked in my exam room, she exuded confidence and competence. When she recommended surgery for my problem, I felt no need to get a second opinion. The surgery went perfectly and I felt better in less than a week of the suggested six week recovery period. Dr. Novas saw me in her office several more times for follow up and I found her professional and knowledgeable. Her staff is wonderful, compassionate, helpful and cheerful. This is a terrific ob/gyn office.
This whole practice is a joke. She made me feel very uncomfortable about the abortion I had when I was 16 and she also was very reluctant and disapproving of my desire to get a iud. Seems like a double edged sword, judgmental of abortions in young girls and also judgmental of birth control options.... judging by her score on this site I’m surprised she’s even still in practice.
She is knowledgeable and has been delivering babies for 30 years. If you are looking for a good doctor and not a friend she's for you. Yes sometimes there can be a wait. They may have had an emergency with another patient you just don't know. It's not like they're eating bonbons in the back room.
I have a strong family history of breast cancer and have a genetic mutation. I spoke to her about it and she just told me to get increased mammograms and ultrasounds. Refused any discussion to talk to a surgeon. I made a second appointment with Dr. Coll (same office) and she immediately wrote me a referral for a surgeon consult. I had a preventative mastectomy 2 weeks ago. She should present patients all options regardless of her OPINION. Plus she is cold and lacks compassion.
It is very difficult to get urgent appointments. Plus the doctors are very rude and don't really seem to care. Wait time is usually very long. On top that they charge you $20 every year to maintain their records. I have seen many many doctors in my life but NO ONE has ever charged me money to maintain their records. And if you are late paying the $20, they charge you a late fee every month.
She is very rude and cold. She doesn't show any concern nor cares.
