Dr. Coumans is one of the best doctors I have seen. He is a very soft spoken, attentive, and thorough. He takes the time to answer any and all questions you may have. After my surgery, I immediately felt relief from pain I was feeling for the longest time. He is one of the best of the best!
He ruined my neck and my daily life. I had a 3-level ACDF in 2013. He failed to remove the osteophytes and ossified/calcified ligamentous structures when operating on the herniated discs. He is the best! He takes his time with you and listens to you. Wait time is long but that’s because he does not rush his patients out.
Very unprofessional office… I waited weeks and weeks for an appointment to be scheduled while going back and forth doing all the leg work getting my notes and images sent to the office. I was then told that he would go over everything on his end and they would call to let me know if I was a good fit for a consult. Took my 82 year old mom to see him for severe back pain . He came out to get my mom himself (not an assistant or RN) He examined and explained everything and also thought it was not her back . He was right ! Any other surgeon would have just taken her to the OR for a fusion that would not have taken care of the issue that she was having! His bedside manner and expertise is top notch !
