About this business

Also known as Old Forks Inn and Bonnet’s Tavern, it is a historic inn and restaurant located in Pennsylvania. Built by Robert Callendar, a Native American tribe trader, it was opened in the year 1779. It was used as a gathering point for protesting local farmers during the 1794 Whiskey Rebellion. It is a three-and-a-half-story structure with two-feet (0.6-meters) thick walls and two levels of porches that extend through out the front and back stretches. It is currently a bed and breakfast place.

First time here. Waited and host were awesome. We tries local brew and it exceeded my expectation. Very friendly and food was excellent.

we went service wasn't bad however my sandwich was over cooked my childrens food was blain and the price for what we got was ridiculous. would not recommend.

We have have returned to Jean Bonnet Tavern many times and for some very good reasons. 1. The service has been very friendly, and attentive. The servers in both the dinning room and the tavern have been knowledgeable about most all the food items, and specials. 2. The ambiance of Jean Bonnet Tavern is wonderful. This Tavern has a lot of history attached, and they say "ghosts" as well. I can not attest to the "ghosts" personally. Service varies enormously! We also called to ask about availability of steaks & told yes, next weekend. We went then and of course no one knew what we were talking about. It has become a yuppie hangout, no doubt making a fortune off drinks, but at expense of food and service.
