My elderly mother and I visited Chelsea at the JCP Salon located in the South Park Mall in Colonial Heights, Virginia. Sadly, our hair stylist had cancelled our hair appointments for June, could not fit us back in again until August, and mom's hair was getting long. I reguarly have my hair colored, dimensional color, cut and styled by Lena. I love how I look and how I feel about my look. Each and every appointment Lena performs magic with my hair. We discuss the colors, changes in length, condition of my hair, all the details. I have always been delighted with the entire process. My husband tells me he loves the way Lena does my hair. No higher praise than this!
I traveled from Richmond for a scheduled appointment, only to find I’d been reassigned to a different stylist without notice, who wasn’t at the salon or available. While I appreciate another stylist offering to step in, I couldn’t wait an additional 30 minutes past my appointment time. After booking a month in advance and preparing my hair, it was disappointing to leave without service.
UPDATE: 3/21/26 (A little over a month since haircut) ●In response to my previous review, I have made several attempts to contact the salon management. I have spoken with both Julianna and Donna, but unfortunately, I have not yet received a return call. I feel as though my concerns have been ignored. It's like they're saying 'Not my problem'.
