We have paid for "professional photos" on several occasions through independent folks, with mixed experiences (from excellent 👍👍 to "mehh" 🫳🫴🫳) and were very pleasantly surprised by our experience at JCPenney Portrait Studio this afternoon. We worked with Kris and he was absolutely phenomenal - very professional, efficient, quick, talented at the photography and editing, with so many helpful suggestions and quite kind, knowledgeable and just all-around helpful as heck! WOW! I would not be more dissatisfied and disappointed. This was such a disgrace to my time and money. I just got done spending $300 for a 15 min unedited photo session and canvas with a long leash smack in the middle. My iPhone takes the same picture AND has BETTER editing features. They refuse to fix the pictures or reimburse for the item not wanted due to their lack in quality. I felt extremely rushed during pictures with my pet. I had to come back to the store multiple times. Last few years were great. This year photographer gave no direction and the process took almost two hours with an appointment.

Our photographer was great to work with and we love our photos… however, I am leaving 1 star because during our session we were informed that they do not wash their props or swaddles between sessions. They were unable to tell us when anything was washed last…. This is very concerning for newborn health.
