I had a 5:00 PM appointment at the JCPenney Holyoke Mall photo studio and arrived 20 minutes early with my children fully prepared. When I checked in, I was told there were four clients ahead of me and that I would likely need to reschedule because the mall closes at 6 PM, no call ahead of time to let me know as my appointment was confirmed the day before. An absolutely horrible experience. We had a 10:30 appointment and the place was packed. We were not seen until 11:15. The person taking our pictures offered no real suggestions or support. We were basically deciding for ourselves where we should stand and she took just a couple of pictures in each position. It was very frustrating because we could tell that the people in the pictures were not standing in the right spot are too far away from someone else or blinked and she wasn’t saying anything. Men every Christmas we go there to take pictures but this year was the worst 2 hours 30 minutes waiting with my kids and when they called they guy he did know what to do nothing professional with kids neither they dont know how to deal with them, my girls were tired didn’t want to do it ,the pictures came up so bad, im not going back there i used to go every year but now i will go another place Awful!! Unprofessional!
way way too overbooked.. as a mom with a kid with adhd this was so overwhelming. lobby full of families waiting and waited an hour for our pics to be taken, we didn’t even review them afterwards just left because it would’ve been another hour .. photographer was great and very patient but it seemed so disorganized.
Used to be amazing back in the day. Don’t bother making an appointment as the actual time you get into to do photos is anywhere from 30 mins to an hour plus. Lazy, disorganized people. Why is only one person taking photos and 2 people standing out front doing nothing but talking? Such a shame. Will be our last year coming here.
