When my old (very old!) Dometic RV fridge leaked all its coolant, I was told the unit was history and would have to be replaced, an expensive proposition. An RV Forum user suggested I contact JC Refrigeration, which I did via email. Myron assured me that they absolutely could replace the cooling system. I set an appointment with Aaron and traveled to Indiana (400+ miles) and camped out overnight in their parking lot. We have a Jayco Grayhawk with a 4 door double gas/electric refrigerator. The trouble is If our camper wasn’t level it would not work all that good or not at all. So we almost went with the recommendation of an RV repair man to change out our double refrigerator with a smaller 12 volt all electric unit where they would have to trim out the hole where the old double sized refrigerator was. I've had their Dometic 12v unit for 1.5 years. It's worked perfectly until a couple weeks ago when the freezer stopped cooling. I defrosted and made space around the contents...to no avail. So, I called JC and, fortunately, Myron call me back. He was very patient over the next couple of days. He requested photos and noted that the hot wire to the big compressor was fried (since I bought the unit I understand they've beefed up that wire). What a great company to do business with. The 3 year no hassle warranty on their RV replacement cooling units is exactly that. After over 2 1/2 years of cooling, which was better than the original, it failed, and then after talking directly to JC himself, we did a few tests for him and sent some pictures and three days later we had a brand new cooling unit mail to us at no charge. Absolutely incredible service! These guys Rock! We drove 9 hrs to get here cuz our fridge wasn’t working well. We decided on the the dual 12vdc compressor conversion for our Norcold fridge. We are delighted with it. Excellent workmanship! Myron and Aaron are the best! If you’re having trouble with your RV fridge, this is the place to take it. They will also ship the cooling units out so your local rv tech can install it too!
