Disappointing Experience – Poor Customer Service from Jayne’s Cottages We booked a villa managed by Jayne’s Cottages and were overcharged for our stay. At first, they responded to my calls and messages, claiming the issue was under review — but they never followed up or resolved anything. I was really disappointed with my experience trying to book through Jayne’s Cottages. I sent an email and tried calling, but only got voicemail and never received a response. Their website also doesn’t function well — you can set filters for dates, but when you click into individual cottages they often require a 7-day booking or show as unavailable. This company has been nothing but unprofessional and downright disrespectful. Without any notice, my cottage was removed from their website. I reached out repeatedly to Jayne and the manager—calls, messages, emails—but they ignored every attempt and never once had the courtesy to respond. To make matters worse, a service I ordered never showed up, and instead of addressing the failure, they had the audacity to send me the same invoice twice. Today at approximately 5:25PM a Jaynes Cottages Employee came flying down our dead end road, it’s very narrow and essentially one way. He almost collided with me head-on and slammed on the breaks. I signalled him to stop as he tried to quickly get going again because my dogs were right behind me following me up. If I hadn’t aggressively signalled he would have ran them over. Absolutely reckless driving behaviour. Single cab long box white ram 1500. I can identify the driver if need be.

Jayne' s rentals packs inordinate numbers of people and dogs into large cottages and callously disregards the privacy and peacefulness of neighbours. She says she was attracted to the peacefulness of Muskoka. What a hypocrite. Not once are renters cautioned to keep their dogs off others' properties nor to respect their privacy.
