My entire appointment lasted 10 minutes and I was charged $460. Apparently it couldn’t be billed as an annual checkup because I asked a question during the visit. I was completely healthy and just wanted to establish care with a PCP , that’s it. This billing practice feels like a scam. Be very careful if you’re going in for a routine visit; asking even one question can apparently turn it into a separate billable service.
