Yesterday I was asked if I knew of a great infectious disease practitioner. I was directly asked about Dr Liu. Short answer. On a few occasions I used the messaging feature on NM MyChart. Next in person visit (I saw him 12x) I received an angry earful re: he doesn’t get paid extra for answering online messages. My exact response to that was “please take that up with your management. This was by far the best doctor visit I have ever had. The CMA Monica was very sweet and professional. Dawn in Lab was very funny and nice. She got me on the first stick which is rare for me. As for Dr. Liu, it was really clear that he has a wealth of knowledge in his field. He gave me all the time I needed to address any of my concerns. I felt he genuinely cared about my well being and took his time to make sure that I understood his treatment. This whole team was amazing and deserves a raise. Thank you!
Best doctor…he saved my life. Very personable., not stuffy. I will always be grateful for his expertise in infectious diseases.
Twice prior to this instance where I rate him less than 1star, he communicated Very inappropriately on multiple occasions, comparing my symptoms to HIS own personal baseline experience, not professional stats/study. He Refused to give long standard long studied appropriate treatment for my image & other specialist confirmed condition(s).
